The Dude's

So, this is one thing I am pretty much going to leave up to the Future Mr. to decide... however, I am going to share my ideas with him and pray that we are on the same page.

When I say future Mr. loves to wear shorts you probably think "yea, well I love to drink beer from a can and eat ice cream right outta the carton but that doesn't mean I'll be doing it on my wedding day!". You don't understand. This man loves shorts! It is the single most wonderful thing is his life (besides me & our puppy). So, I have agreed to let him and the groomsmen wear shorts for the wedding. Dressy shorts. With belts. and tucked in shirts. really. I did.

So I looked around on line to find some pics that conveyed my vision. This is what I found... with captions.

I like the black shirts... esp if the maids are wearing black. Then maybe FH could wear a white shirt... hum...

The Maid's Dresses

I know you are all still marinating on the color pallet post from yesterday... maybe the following ideas will help us both spark some additional inspiration! :) I really enjoy the patterny goodness of the black and white prints! All my favorites are on the LEFT of the shot.

ENJOY! ;) Looking forward to your comments!

Wedding Color Fabulousness

I haven't been blogging much about our upcoming wedding for a couple of reasons...

1. I'm a lazy blogger (as we have seen with my inconsistent posts)
2. I am insanely indecisive when it comes to wedding stuff. Which my future Mr. finds very funny because I am very "black/white" decisive in the rest of my life. Make a decision and stick to it!

However, I thought I would put some things out there, maybe blogging will help me decide. Today I am obsessed with the wedding color pallet and all of its fabulousness! There are two color schemes I am loving so far.

Black, white, and green (simple and sophisticated for our outdoor wedding)

Ice Cream Sandwiches!

I am in LOVE with my new ice cream sandwich maker! One of my girlfriends recently had a pampered chef party that I was unable to attend. In support of her I ordered a few things from the catalog and I am so excited about what I got!

This time I made chocolate chip cookies and put the vanilla ice cream inside but I have tons of ideas. To make a more traditional looking ice cream sandwich, I'm going to use brownies instead of cookies and maybe use a mint ice cream inside! I can't wait to make more!

This was also just another excuse to use my Georgia Football Platter! ;) Shameless.

Feeling fabulously crafty this fall...

For about a week now I have been planning this awesome crafty day! I am so in love with this weather and my new fall candle fragrances I just couldn't wait to get my front porch decked out too. I hand painted our name on the big pumpkin (because I am currently obsessed with my soon to be new last name) and planted beautiful mums in the flowerbed.

One of my other favorite things about this time of year is "fall cleaning". You know, like spring cleaning, but in the fall. You don't just clean one time a year do you? Anyway, I am tackling my side of the closet tomorrow. I am surprisingly excited! :)

My Meme...

I've been tagged... to compile 6 random things about me that you may not know. It's going to be hard to think of 6 random things. But here we go...

1. I get randomly addicted to things. Not necessarily things that I should not be addicted to (like alcohol or drugs) but, websites, certain foods, TV shows and friends. I will go for weeks eating the same thing for lunch because I like it so much. Right now, I am so stuck on PBJ and chicken noodle soup if I don't eat it for lunch tomorrow I would break out into a cold sweat.

2. I love to write letters (the old fashioned way). With cute stationary and cards... I write to my grandma, girlfriends from elementary school, and my cousins from out of state several times a month. I am very computer savy, but writing letters is a simple pleasure that I refuse to give up.

3. I want to get to the next level and get it over with! It is exhausting trying to get one rung up on that corporate ladder. I am oblivious to the office politics unless it is pointed out to me and I can't stand people that try to sabotage someone else just to get ahead. I've been "working smarter, not harder" for a couple of years and I am ready to reap the rewards. I want to get it over with! UGH!

4. I love my Godson more than life itself. From the very minute my tear filled eyes saw him my world was forever changed. My most passionate responsibility is being this little angels "nanny" and I can not remember my life before him. I am so thankful.

5. I fart in the stockroom when I'm back there alone... yup. I said it. No explanation necessary.

6. I have a list of things I want to do... short term, long term, longer term. My mind is always thinking "wouldn't it be fun if..." and although I don't always make everything happen (there are only 24 hours in my day) I make a mental note to do that sometime. 2009 is going to be my year to do a lot of new things... gonna try the "wife" thing on and see how it fits. :)

I'm a lazy blogger...

But, I'm really good at cupcakes! :)

I am always looking for cute cupcakes to make, and they usually revolve around a football game or birthday party... however, lately I have been obsessed with fall-a-day cupcakes! I made some acorn cupcakes on Sunday and I am absolutely in love with them! I saw a picture of leaves cupcakes in a book called "Hello, Cupcake!" by Karen Tack (ra, you totally need this) and I am plotting my next baking day! So excited!
