Turkey Cupcakes (Nutter Butter Style!)

I know yall are over looking at my free Christmas Card post....
so I thought I would go ahead and get this one up tonight!
But seriously, you should get 50 free cards from Shutterfly.... that's a darn good deal!

This weekend I made Nutter Butter Turkeys (that I originally saw here from The Party Animal) and then used them as toppers for my Pumpkin Spice Cupcakes! They turned out awesome... even the hubs was impressed.

Everything is candy melts that I piped on from a ziplock bag (cut the tip off) and the eyes are round sprinkles and a black dot with an edible ink pen. They were a HUGE hit!

And, if you are in the market for a cupcake carrier, this one is super versatile...
I usually use it with all 3 trays... that's 36 cupcakes...
but it comes in super handy for HUGE cupcake toppers like this too!
You can get them here.

2010 Christmas Cards

So I mentioned earlier that we took our Christmas card photos on Sunday...
and they pretty much ROCK my face off...

But then, my face, which had been rocked off turned sad...
because I forgot just how expensive (and sometimes cheesy) Christmas photo cards can be.
::cue superhero music::

I know the quality is amazing because this is where we ordered our Honeymoon photo book from...
and this is for sure where we are going to be ordering our cards this year.
They have a million amazing designs and they are all reasonably priced.
One of my favorite things about this site is the "stock" photos they use to help you get a vision of what your card will look like. I'm a visual person so seeing a blank card just does nothing for me.

here are just a few of my favorites...

Have you started thinking about your Christmas cards yet?
Christmas is only 39 days away!! Can you belive it!?!
Let the count down begin!

The weekend I was waiting for....

We had an amazing weekend....
Everything I was hoping for and more.

Saturday morning bestie, bubs, and her mom met my mom in Conyers for an open house/craft show event. We saw vendors from Longaberger, hand painted ornaments, makeup, photography, home baked good, monograms, ect. Had a great time meeting and greeting with everyone and got a lot of wonderful ideas for Christmas!

Later on that afternoon the hubs and I met my parents and brother & sil at the Monastery. If you live in South/East Atlanta you should come down and see this beautiful place...or visit online here momma packed a feast of a picnic and we had a blast watching the hubs get attacked by an aggressive goose (?) that thought he wasn't sharing his bread fast enough!

Saturday night we ate pizza and finally got around to watching the new karate kid movie (with Will Smith's son) which we really enjoyed.

Sunday morning it was up and at 'em early for our Christmas card pictures. Cole was a total freak and would not calm down... luckily bestie has the patience of a saint and got some amazing shots! We had lunch on the square (best BLT ever!) and headed out for the Christmas festival (which ended up being kind of lamesause... just not many people out) and then I wrapped it up with a work meeting.

A wonderful weekend!!
