Golden slumbers kiss your eyes,
Smiles await you when you rise.
Sleep, sweet baby,
Do not cry,
And I will sing a lullaby.
Cares you know not,
Therefore sleep,
While over you a watch I'll keep.
Sleep,
sweet baby,
Do not cry,
And I will sing a lullaby.
Smiles await you when you rise.
Sleep, sweet baby,
Do not cry,
And I will sing a lullaby.
Cares you know not,
Therefore sleep,
While over you a watch I'll keep.
Sleep,
sweet baby,
Do not cry,
And I will sing a lullaby.

I wish I could bottle the smell of this sleeping baby... when I open the door to his room to check on him, my heart almost bursts. The smell of your own baby... ugh, it is the sweetest most perfect scent. The smell of that same baby's dirty diaper, not.so.much.
Sometimes I just sit at the edge of his crib while he's sleeping and watch him. That is WAY more important at that moment than anything else I need to be doing. Tell me I will always feel this way... I never want my Durham obsession to end.
