Georgia Bulldog Cupcakes!

UGA is playing LSU today at 3:30pm. What does that mean? CUPCAKES! :)

We are headed over to Austin & Emily's to hang out with some good friends, eat, and watch the game. Emily is making red beans and rice (we are very "themed" this week) and I made some rockin' UGA cupcakes! Tony & Christine are comming too I think, she always brings yummy snacks! (ugh... that dip! Sinful!)

The second one is my favorite. This is my first time to decorate cupcakes with melted molding chocolate, but I really enjoyed it! Off to get ready for the game! :)

A Gift Idea...

I am going to make one of these for our house... but, I thought it would be a great gift idea as well (for someone getting married, or for a couple that really loves photgraphy).

I think the trick would be finding a picture frame that has enough holes in a row for that particular persons last name. humm...

This blog is just about ideas... not answers people! Too much pressure!

Not a beach theme...

So let's pretend that someone questioned my reasoning to have a cupcake wedding cake. (Gasp! I know, who would do such a thing!) But, it happened. So here are a few reasons that we are going to ignore their advice and do it anyway! :)

1. It's our wedding!

2. I like the idea of having 2 or 3 flavors for guests to choose from. I know that you can do this with layers of cake as well. But, it's much messier.

3. We don't want someone to spend their time at the reception standing by the cake and serving people. Especially for us, with a low budget and 100% OOT guests, we want everyone to be able to enjoy the entire reception.

4. It is much more DIY friendly.

I found a few more inspiration pictures...
For those that may not know, we are planning a beach wedding (without a beach theme) however, I thought these "beach cupcakes" were worth... well, just look at them.

We start of classy with white chocolate sea shells...

This is cute... dun-uh-dun-uh... dun-uh-dun-uh-dun-uh-dun-uh!

then we get a little crazy with sweetish fish...

Did I mention, we don't have a "beach theme"! :)

Cupcakes! The 3rd love of my life!

I love cupcakes! I don't know when it happened... a couple of years ago maybe. I am fascinated by cookbooks with nothing but cupcakes in them! FH and I went to Charleston, SC this summer and downtown we found this cupcake shop. They sold cupcakes. That's it. It was pure heaven. Anyway, since my passion cup runs over with cupcake batter... it only seems natural for us to have a tower of cupcakes for our wedding. I was talking to my dad about this the other day... he was pumped. Both of my parents are "DIY" people. Mom is more artistic, dad is more practical. They get the job done together. Anyway, dad was all but sketching out blue prints for the "best cupcake tower ever!".

Here is your inspiration dad, get to it! :)

Will you come?

If we invite you?

I feel like I have 1/2 decided on a color pallet...but, being true to my indecisive self, I am going to keep thinking about it for a few more days. I wanted to share my top pics for wedding invitations. We are still considering making our own so take these as inspiration. I am getting so excited I can hardly stand it! :)

Special note to ra: I know. I was SO already married to the coral invites...but, I cheated on them! I saw some others I liked just as much! (maybe better!)
