What a wonderful Christmas! We spent some time with our families and some alone time together. It was our first Christmas as an engaged couple and our first Christmas together in our house. I loved every minute of it.
Here are a few pics...

The gingerbread house...

Checklist
I have been very busy this past week... as I am sure you all have been. Buying the perfect present is always near the top of my list (I honestly love giving more than receiving). Along with shopping, there is always baking, cleaning, card making, wrapping, and much much more. I also work in retail... no explanation necessary. It is crazy! Today was my last day off before Christmas so I got a lot of things done. Sweet! Here is my check list...
1. Get up super early and go shopping. Buy the last few presents. Check!
2. Wrap presents. Check!
3. Complete cookie baskets for our mail carrier, Fed-ex, UPS, the bank tellers... and all the other people that make our life so easy during the year... 10 baskets in all. Check!
4. Clean the house. Check!
no pic. just take my word for it. :)
5. Play with Cole and his new toy! Check!
6. Tackle that pile of Christmas cards on the entry way table... some to send one to, and pictures to hang up... long letters to read. One of my favorite things to do.
Check!
Now I'm off to get pretty... FH and I are going to my parents house for dinner. Yumm!
Enjoy!

I'm in love...
With my new camera!
FH gave me my Christmas present early so I could use it during the pre-Christmas festivities... I am so excited! It's a Nikon and it's my new BFF!
Just to show you how different the quality is from the camera we had and the new one...
A picture I had previously posted of our Christmas Tree (with the old camera)
A picture I took today with the new camera! Hallelujah!
Enjoy!

Christmas Cards
I am off work today... blissfully I slept till way past 10am, got my crock pot going for dinner, and started addressing our Christmas Cards. They are by far my favorite we have ever sent out. I took Cole's picture myself...
and uploaded it to shutterfly.com.
The cards turned out super cute... and are going out tomorrow! Check!

Cookie Party!
I had a cookie party last year. It rocked. So I am doing it again. It is tonight! :)
I have seen many different ways to host a cookie party but for us this is....
How it works:
1. Send out cute invitations like these...
(front)
(back)
2. Each guest brings 6 packs of cookies (6 cookies in each pack) and 12 cookies to share the night of the party. (I'll do the math for you. Make 4 dozen cookies)
3. Each guest also prints their recipe on a 1/2 sheet of paper. (8 1/2 inches by 5 1/2 inches). and prints one for each guest at the party ( I said bring 20).
4. The host has cookie plates ready to receive the sampling cookies (cut into pieces, eating that many cookies might make you sick) and as the host I also prepared binding covers to create their take home cookbooks.
5. At the end of the night, each guest will have aprox 20 recipes in their cookbook and 6 different packs of cookies to take home! :) Fun!
I'll post pics of how much fun we had later. I've been a lazy poster lately. Busy with Christmas goodness!

Beverage Dispenser
Inspiration:
My inspiration image can be found all over the Internet on different blogs... however, I have not been able to find where I can purchase these exact jars. So I found a few that might do. (and... gasp... I'll link to them!)
Costsaving2u.com
They say this 3-gallon jar is unbreakable. Nice.
Outblush
This one is $10 cheaper than the one above...and is made from 100% recycled glass.
Pottery Barn
Wait! I think these are the jars from the inspiration photo! Yea Pottery Barn! Boo $79.00 each.
Enjoy!

Our Trip to Callaway!
We spent this past weekend at Callaway Gardens (west Georgia). Had so much fun! Our main responsibility was to raise money for the March of Dimes (and we did, almost $200) by walking 7 miles thru the Fantasy in Lights. We also hit some balls at the driving range, visited the Butterfly center and ate the best beef stew and cornbread ever! Yum! Can't wait till next year!
Here are a few pics... enjoy!

My "It's the One" face
We went dress shopping last week. I remember telling ra "don't get all emotional, I wont get the feeling. I just wanna look at dresses!"
And look what happened...
I got a big dorky grin. I couldn't hide it. It's the one. Don't want to share too much. FH doesn't read my blog... but I want it to be a surprise for some of the extended family that does.
Enjoy!

Officially Christmas at the Reagans!
I know... I know. Honor the Turkey and all that crap! We have been listening to Christmas music at work and selling candles in the shape of snowmen for 2 weeks... I can't do that all day and not get into the holiday spirit. So, last night, FH and I put our tree up together for the first time. It was so much fun!!
I know the quality is awful... I asked for a new camera this Christmas! This one (est. 1986) isn't cutting it anymore.
My favorite thing is that the tree and all it's glory is reflected in the mirror across the room. It is beautiful!
Enjoy!

DIY Inspiration!
I fell in love with these framed monograms from Jack and Lulu. However, was not willing to pay the $50 price tag. So, not feeling totally confidant in my own abilities, I searched around for some additional info and found these inspirations.
Mind Your Manors
and...
KAKI
The Sassy Flip Flop
and... this girl will make them for you! How cool is that?!?
So my ego got all puffed up... "If these people can do this... so can I!". And so I did. and it was fun. and fast. and cheep.
Go Vote Already!!
Today is November 4th. I woke up about 45 minutes ago. I have been watching election coverage ever since. They don't know anything of course. They are covering people standing in line to vote. Nonetheless.I.am.watching.non-stop.I.love.politics.
Anyway, I thought I would encourage you all to get out and vote today. I hope you choose to exercise your right as an American. I don't care who you vote for (ok, I do) but, I really just want everyone to vote.
