We are 20 days away from our first wedding anniversary!
I know.... feels like yesterday
I'm torn on what to give the hubs for a gift...
we are going on vacation in October to this beautiful place
{Sept is an awful time for him to take off at work}
anyway...
the first year is traditionally paper. sounds easy enough.
the modern suggestion is clock. he does not wear a watch.
I guess what I'm wondering is... what did you give your hubs for your first anniversary?
Did you stick with the traditional/modern theme, or give a more personal gift? HELP!

On our honeymoon, my husband took a boatload of sunset pictures one night. For our anniversary, I got one of the pics enlarged on a canvas for him... kind of paper?
He got me an ipod touch and a necklace.
I got B a watch but, he wears one daily. Why not a gift certificate to play golf somewhere cool? Or somewhere to buy a new club? hmmm
I went the "paper" route. I had one of our wedding pictures turned into a puzzle, wrote him a sweet note on the back and gave it to him to put together. We have it displayed in our house and everyone LOVES it and thinks it was such a cute idea.
I went the paper route too. I gave him a gift certificate for a store he loves. His gift to me was a little more personal. I love Story People Prints from Brian Andreas, so he bought me one of those and had it framed.
Also, where is this AWESOME cabin? I could do some relaxing in that!!
A gift certificate is common, however why not do something more personal... give him something you know he will love and instead of just giving it to him you can give it to him via a photograph or written on a card. My friend handed her husband a card with a bow around it and said "here is your paper honey!" - the card said "look in the back of my car" - There was a BBQ waiting for him. SO CUTE!
i went traditional/personal with our 1st anniversary gift. i found a little photo album at hallmark that had space for journaling and filled it with photos from each month of our first year of marriage and tried to write done memories to go with them.
I made my hubby a scrapbook of our first year. Basically it had 12 pages and each page had memories from each of the 12 months of our first year :)
Really well done for the blog.these are so sweet and pretty!
