snow day to the 2nd power

If you are new here you may not know that we live in the great state of Georgia...
 a little south of Atlanta to be a little more specific.

{food coloring in a spray bottle}

We recently had quite a snowpocalypse...
inches and inches of snow dumped on some rather unsuspecting Georgians.

we act like total psychos when it snows here
buying out all the generaters from walmart, driving like nascar drivers and totaly raiding the grocerystore of bread, milk and eggs. (and maybe oreos, beer, and hotdogs too)

these are actual pictures from my facebook friends....
 {yea, that's the line completely wrapped around the store}

and this one is from a local news channel...

{people we're abandoning their cars and walking away}

::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

We had had a fun 2 days snuggled down at home...
a little snow time and lots of hot chocolate and movies on the sofa.
Hubs even cooked some delicious hot dogs on the grill.

I think we may be on an abbreviated schedule tomorrow, most of the schools are closed again, but the roads are getting better. I'd actually be happy to go in...
got quite the case of cabin fever.

If you are from around here I'd love to see your snowpocalypse pictures...
and for everyone else... go ahead and laugh. We know we are crazy. We know you drive to work and school in 4 times as much snow. But hey, a snow day is a snow day! :)

My favorite story was the one about the 8 miles of semi trucks frozen on the interstate for a whole day. Glad things are getting back to normal.

Those pictures make me smile because that amount of snow is nothing to us in New York!! I hope you are able to get out to overcome your cabin fever :)

Seriously? SERIOUSLY? That is funny. We're scheduled to get up to 18 inches here tomorrow and no one as the grocery store. WOW! That blows my mind. lol

We got a ton of snow at our place too! We're your "neighbors" over here in Alabama. I'll definitely have to post the pics as it was quite crazy here as well. We couldn't leave the house all day on Monday as the roads were covered with at least 5 inches of snow.

What is it with guys wearing flip flops and shorts in snow!?! I live in VIRGINIA and my man will be wearing shorts and flip flops through a foot of snow! He says, "but my lower body doesn't get cold"...so strange!

I had to laugh at this one. I live in Oklahoma and we act just the same when we get anything above and inch around here. Oh, how i could use a snow day or two {Smile}!
