Holly's Baby Girl Shower

Sunday night I hosted a baby shower for Holly.... 

remember when I did the Gender Reveal Cakepops for her? so cute.

Anyway...we had a great time with great friends and yummy food. Everyone came out to wish her luck on this new adventure of Mommy-hood. We played baby gift bingo, gave advice, and laughed till our tummys hurt. It was such a good time.

I had a few issues with the photos... the shower was at 7pm 

(we had to schedule after the store was closed so everyone could attend) 

and to avoid a 15 second shutter speed I had to shoot partially in auto. flash. boo. I'm ok with that... 

it's the memories that were captured that really matter.

We love you Holly! Can't wait for Makenna to get here!

 

Monday Randoms....

Happy Monday everyone! Hope you had a wonderful day....

we had a busy weekend here at the Reagans... lots of family, friends and good 'ol quality time! 

Our favorite. Here are just a few snipits...

we do try to trick him every night and say things like 

"ice cream?" "cheeseburger?" "dishwasher?" to see if he can tell the difference! haha

Saturday night we had 9 people for sit down dinner. The hubs rocked it!

and I think everyone enjoyed the company just as much as the food.

We also had a few friendly PS3 competitions! 

That's my baby brother, his wife, my hubs and the pic the hubs got of me, my arm.

Quite possibly my favorite part of the whole weekend was all 3 of us snuggled on the sofa reading

The 5 Love Languages by Gary Chapman...

we took the quiz to find out our emotional communication preference...and the preference of your spouse so you can use it to connect with your loved one.

It has lead to such intimate and mind opening conversations. I love how God is able to move in our marriage and make us stronger partners. We defiantly recommend this book to couples (and realize that we are WAY behind in reading this). I'd love to hear any other books you have used to grow your relationships.

It was so fun to hang out with some amazing and fun loving ladies.

I'm easily agitated

I'm gonna warn you... this is not my typical sunshine and roses kinda post. I'm grumpy. Things have not been going my way lately and I am agitated. grrrrrr. Let me fill you in.

1. I love diet coke. Like LOVE it people. Think about how much you love your kid//boyfriend/pet... now times that by 5 and that is how much I love diet coke. I get one at McDonalds everyday... "large diet coke in the sweet tea cup" is my order. In case you don't know, the sweet tea cup is styrofoam. It keeps my beloved diet coke cold until way after lunch time. The regular cup sucks. When I pulled up and placed my regular order and the drive thru lady barks back "mam, we no longer do that. You must get it in the regular cup" I just about lost my religion on her. grrrr.

2. Can we just let the snowpocalypse go? It's over, I don't need the continued news coverage about how GDOT needs to "take responsibility for what happened" and GDOT "refuses to give themselves a letter grade on their responsiveness". um, hello. This is ATLANTA, we only get that much snow every 15 years. I appreciate GDOT doing what they could...layoff! grrrrr....

3. I am over OPRAH this week. Three episodes on the trip to Australia?? Really? In my opinion that is two too many! And on the topic of Oprah, have any of you checked out her new network  OWN (its channel 182 on Charter) I'm excited for the Peter Walsh show, but everything else is b.o.r.i.n.g. that Gayle King... grrrrrrr.

4. Facebook members... just because I don't update my status to one of the following does not mean I do not love my spouse/sibling/mother, that I'm not a Texas Girl, that I want every crazy person running around wielding a gun, ect. This is getting out of hand! Step back from the status update!

HUSBAND & WIFE WEEK: If you have a mate who is your best friend, who works hard for you, who has been with you through thick and thin, who loves you even when you're at your worst, and whom you are PROUD to be married to, copy and paste this with the date you were married...

Tough girls come from Alabama, sweet girls come from Indiana & Barbie girls come from California, but us TEXAS GIRLS have fire & ice in our blood! We can be a Princess, throw a left hook, love football, pack heat, hang with the boys, bake a cake, Love with a passion and if we have an opinion... You KNOW you're gonna hear it!! To everyone who is calling for stricter gun laws in light of the tragedy in Tucson, may I offer this little tidbit: If guns kill people, then pencils misspell words, cars drive drunk, and spoons make people fat ! 5. WHY do people spell their name or street address with the Phonetic Alphabet? (maybe this is just annoying because I don't have it memorized. Is this a military thing or a boyscout thing? WTH?)

I have an exciting weekend planned, haircut with bubs and ra tomorrow (his hair, not mine), date night with hubs, then Saturday night we are having a family dinner with my brother & his wife, my parents, and my brothers inlaws. I'm also hosting a cute baby girl shower at our house on Sunday night. Such a busy and blessed weekend! I love it! 

(ps. I'll be getting my diet coke from Chick-fil-a. they love a good styrofoam cup!)

Hello Kitty Cupcakes

I had a client this week who requested Hello Kitty Cupcakes. 

(yes, client... I get goosebumps when I use that word in reference to cupcakes because I have only within the past couple months started taking actual orders. I have had 9 "jobs" in the past 2 months and it has been wonderful. I don't always post pictures because sometimes it is very late when I am finished but I have felt so blessed for the opportunity to share my little creations with people I care about. I am currently in the "portfolio" stage and am only taking very local and very willing customers... these jobs often come with the disclaimer "I've never done that before, so I may jack it up"  haha! I will keep you all posted on how things are going.)
