Just a pic of Christine, Tony, Chris & I on the lake in Helen. We had a great time roasting marshmallows, fishing, shopping, and hiking. Happy 2009!

New Years (better late than never)

We went to Helen, GA for New Years with some friends... (That is another post). But, now that we are home, it really feels like 2009 has begun! :) I decided that I would not do the traditional New Years resolutions like I usually do. (Because I usually don't follow through with them past February). This year I am going to list what I am NOT going to do.

In 2009 I will NOT

1. Let more than a week go by without seeing my Godson.
2. Beat myself up for not working out as much as I need to.
3. Bring work home from the office more than 1 night a week.
4. Make myself say "Yes" to something I really do not want to do.
5. Stress about what other people think of our wedding.
6. Hold grudges for anything that happened last year. (Ok, I'll try not to)
7. Immediately change into "lounge" clothes when I get home from work.
8. Spend more time watching TV than reading.
9. Be a better housewife. What I am now is good enough.
10.Forget to be Thankful everyday. We are very blessed.

Did you make any "non-resolutions" this year?

Wonderful Christmas

What a wonderful Christmas! We spent some time with our families and some alone time together. It was our first Christmas as an engaged couple and our first Christmas together in our house. I loved every minute of it.

Here are a few pics...

Follow-up

Back in October I posted about a cute gift idea here.

Just wanted to follow-up and let you know that I actually completed the project! It looks amazing!

Enjoy!

Checklist

I have been very busy this past week... as I am sure you all have been. Buying the perfect present is always near the top of my list (I honestly love giving more than receiving). Along with shopping, there is always baking, cleaning, card making, wrapping, and much much more. I also work in retail... no explanation necessary. It is crazy! Today was my last day off before Christmas so I got a lot of things done. Sweet! Here is my check list...

1. Get up super early and go shopping. Buy the last few presents. Check!

2. Wrap presents. Check!

3. Complete cookie baskets for our mail carrier, Fed-ex, UPS, the bank tellers... and all the other people that make our life so easy during the year... 10 baskets in all. Check!

4. Clean the house. Check!

no pic. just take my word for it. :)

5. Play with Cole and his new toy! Check!

6. Tackle that pile of Christmas cards on the entry way table... some to send one to, and pictures to hang up... long letters to read. One of my favorite things to do.

Now I'm off to get pretty... FH and I are going to my parents house for dinner. Yumm!
